NCAA Basketball Betting – No.21 Vanderbilt (9-0) at Depaul (2-3)

21st-ranked Vanderbilt, (5-3 ATS, 7-1 O/U) is off to a perfect while DePaul has struggled immensely in the early going this season.

Each team’s last contest illustrated perfectly which direction each program is headed in.

The Commodores absolutely pounded overmatched Lipscomb 90-67 at home on Saturday while the Blue Demons were routed by Kansas 84-66 on Saturday as well.

Vanderbilt is led by freshman center A.J. Ogilvy and senior guard Shan Foster who are averaging 20.4 and 19.6 points per game respectively.

DePaul, (1-2 ATS, 2-1 O/U) may be struggling but has won two of its last three home games against ranked teams. However, none of those victories have came this year as the young Blue Demons are trying to overcome the departures of their two best players from last season, Wilson Chandler and Sammy Mejia, who were both drafted by NBA teams. Senior Draelon Burns leads the Blue Demons in scoring, averaging 17.0 points per game.

Here is a look at tonight’s key trends, followed by my Free NCAA betting pick.

Analysis: Don’t ask me why this point-spread is so low, but the Commodores are an absolute lock to win and cover the spread in this contest. Vanderbilt is averaging 85.9 points per game against DePaul’s 72.0 points per contest while also allowing fewer points per game than the Blue Demons. This game is a no-doubt-about-it winner. Take Vandy to cover the spread easily.
