The mediocre Virginia Cavaliers, (13-13 SU, 11-10 ATS, 10-11 O/U) enter tonight’s matchup with the equally average Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, (12-15 SU, 12-13 ATS, 16-9 O/U), having lost eight of their last ten games, including a close 95-93 loss to the Miami Hurricanes on Saturday.

While Georgia Tech has a losing straight up record this season, the Yellow jackets have managed to win four of their last ten games and picked up a thrilling 87-79 overtime victory over a scrappy Wake Forest team on Saturday that snapped a five-game losing streak.

The Cavaliers, who have covered the spread in four consecutive games and five of ten overall, are averaging 76.6 points per game on 43.1 percent shooting while allowing 73.2 points per game to their opponents on 43.9 percent shooting.

The Yellow Jackets are averaging 77.0 points per game on 46.6 percent shooting while allowing 75.7 points per game on 45.0 percent shooting and have covered the spread in two consecutive games and five of their last ten overall.

Analysis: While the Yellow Jackets are playing at home tonight, the Cavaliers are the better team even if it’s not by much. Still, I like the more experienced Cavaliers to cover the spread while possibly winning outright.
