NBA Basketball Betting – Orlando at Milwaukee
By Charles Jay
BetUS NBA basketball betting odds: ORLANDO -6.5, Total 202
The Orlando Magic (16-6 SU, 17-5 ATS) has now lost two straight games, and they'll try to bounce back as they visit the Bradley Center to play the Milwaukee Bucks (8-12 SU, 7-10-1 ATS) in a Wednesday game tipping off at 8 PM EST.
In the BetUS NBA basketball betting odds, the Magic is listed at -6.5, with the total posted at 202 points.
In the HEAD-to-HEAD NBA betting trends:
* ORL has covered four of the last five meetings
* ORL has won five of the last six meetings SU
* MILW is 14-3-2 ATS in the last 19 meetings at home
* MILW has won 17 of the last 19 meetings at home SU
* Six of the last seven meetings at Milwaukee have gone OVER the total
These teams met on opening night in Orlando, and the Magic won 102-83 as a seven-point favorite.
Orlando has been one of the NBA's surprise teams, winning 16 of 22 games. But they disappointed in a pair of home games recently, losing 115-109 to Indiana on Friday and dropping a 98-87 home decision to the Atlanta Hawks on Monday. In that game, Orlando threw up bricks, hitting a shade under 40%. The Jameer Nelson-Keyon Dooling-Keith Bogans backcourt trio was 8-for-26 from the floor. Also:
* ORL is 12-1 ATS on the road
* ORL has won 11 of its last 13 road games SU
* ORL has covered 12 of its last 15 games overall
* ORL has played 14 of its last 21 road games OVER the total
* ORL averages 9.5 three-pointers per game
* ORL has a +5.5 point differential
Milwaukee averages 99 points a game at home, as opposed to 91 on the road. The talented backcourt consists of Michael Redd (24 ppg) and Mo Williams (14.6 ppg). The Bucks are coming off a five-game road trip, losing four of those games. Milwaukee has lost eight of its last nine and has covered just one of his last seven. Also:
* MILW is 6-12-1 ATS in its last 19 home games
* MILW has won seven of its last nine home games SU
* MILW is 4-1 ATS as a home dog
* MILW has played four of its last five home games OVER the total
It is hard to tell whether the Magic's two-game losing streak is the start of something bigger or not. But the Bucks are certainly on a slide. Sure, Orlando's backcourt will have its hands full with the Redd-Williams combo, but Milwaukee is not beefy up front, so they'll have a world of difficulty with Dwight Howard, who is averaging almost 26 points and 15 rebounds, and had seven blocked shots in the last meeting. It's not a bad idea either to side with the trend that has seen Orlando cover 12 of 13 on the road. We'll take the Magic, the 6.5-point favorite in the BetUS NBA betting odds.
