NBA Betting Odds – Houston Rockets at Utah Jazz

The Houston Rockets and Utah Jazz both won their season openers and have what appears to be legitimate western conference title hopes as the 2007-08 NBA season nears the end of its first week of action.
The Rockets have a new head coach in veteran Rick Adelman – and some new faces on the roster that should finally help this team advance out of the first round of the playoffs.
The Jazz made a surprising run to the western conference finals last season and look like they are going to be capable of going at least that far, if not further this season.

The Under is 4-0 in Rockets last four games as a road underdog of 0.5-4.5.
The Under is 6-0 in Rockets last six games as a road underdog.
The Over is 5-1 in Jazz last six vs. NBA Southwest.

Analysis: This is an extremely tough wager for even the most experienced basketball bettors out there. The fact of the matter is that these two teams are very evenly matched talent-wise even if Jazz head coach Jerry Sloan does hold a slight coaching edge over his counterpart, Adelman, here.
While I like the Jazz to win this home contest, I think this game could literally come down to a last-second field goal. Take the Jazz to win but the Rockets to cover in a thriller.
