NBA Wagering Odds - Sacramento Kings at San Antonio Spurs

The Sacramento Kings, (31-36 SU, 35-31-1 ATS, 35-28-4 O/U) don’t have much to play for as they are not going to reach the postseason in the highly-competitive western conference, but the Kings aren’t playing like it, having won four of their last five games in the BetUS.com Sportsbook and two straight coming into tonight’s contest, including a surprising 122-105 win over the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday.

Despite their solid play recently, the Kings will be facing a San Antonio Spurs, (45-23 SU, 29-37-2 ATS, 28-40 O/U), team that will enter this contest looking to pick up their second consecutive win in emphatic fashion after stopping their four-games losing streak in routing the Chicago Bulls 102-80 on the road on Thursday.

"It was just a bad stretch for us and this is a step in the right direction," said Spurs all-star forward Tim Duncan, who recorded 22 points and 10 rebounds against the Bulls. "It's all about getting a rhythm going right now."

The Spurs are trying to get some sort of home-court advantage in the western conference where less than two games separates the conference’s top seed from its sixth-place team, the Spurs.

"The first seed could be the eighth and the eighth seed is as good as the first and that's no exaggeration," Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said. "None of us is better than the other. So the seeds are really irrelevant this season more than any other time."

The Kings looked like a playoff team in routing the high-scoring Warriors as Kevin Martin scored 34 points while Ron Artest added 26.

"The bottom line is we came out, played harder than them in the first and second halves," Kings coach Reggie Theus told the team's official Web site.

The Kings have won five of their last ten games while going 5-4-1 against the spread over the same span.

San Antonio is just 4-6 in its last ten games and has managed to go a pitiful 1-9-1 against the spread over the same span.

Here is a look at tonight’s Key Trends, followed by my analysis and NBA Betting Picks:

The Kings are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.

The Kings are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.

The Spurs are 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.

The Spurs are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 vs. NBA Pacific.

The Under is 4-0 in Kings last 4 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game.

The Over is 4-0 in Spurs last 4 games following a SU win of more than 10 points.

The Over is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings in San Antonio.

The Over is 4-1-1 in the last 6 meetings.

The Kings are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings.

Analysis: The Spurs will undoubtedly win this game, but I am picking the suddenly feisty Kings to cover the spread in this matchup.
