In the HEAD-to-HEAD NBA basketball betting trends:

Since their big trade to acquire Ben Wallace, Wally Szcerbiak, Joe Smith and Delonte West - pieces that they hope will eventually get them back to the NBA Finals - the Cavs have gone just 10-9. Wallace is out of this game with back spasms, and guard Daniel Gibson may be out as well. Eventually when they are at full strength, the Cavs are going to be a handful for anyone they face in the NBA playoffs.

But right now Mike Brown is committing to West and Devin Brown in the backcourt alongside LeBron James, and we wonder whether that gives them enough equipment at this time to be laying points against a Charlotte team that has suddenly caught a little bit of life.

Emeka Okafor has been dead-on from the field lately (70% over the last three games) and against Toronto last time out he had his most blocked shots in over a month and a half. Jason Richardson has rolled for 20 points or more in seven straight games, and Sam Vincent has gotten the vote of confidence from ownership. Charlotte's been pretty tough at home lately (5-1 ATS in last six) and has played well against Cleveland, winning the first meeting and covering the next two.

We're going to grab points at home with the Bobcats, the three-point underdog in the BetUS NBA betting odds, who are over the .500 mark at home this season (19-18 SU).
