NBA Sports Betting Power Rankings - Rocket’s Streak Ends But Still Tops

The Rockets fantastic 22 straight-up win streak ended the other night when they lost to the Boston Celtics. It was bound to happen. Streaks are meant to be broken. Nowhere is this truer than in the NBA Betting where there are a lot of very good teams. Not only did the Rockets’ straight-up streak end, but it was their second loss in their last 10 games against the BetUS spread.

Still, the Rockets are tops in our weekly power rankings. They continue to win and, more importantly, continue to cover the BetUS spread.

Let’s get to it!

NBA Power Rankings

1. Houston Rockets - - 80% percent isn’t bad. That’s their percentage against the BetUS spread in their last 10 games. They have a key one Wednesday night versus the Hornets. The Rockets are 5 point dogs. If they end up beating the Hornets straight-u or covering the spread, then forget it. These guys are legit.

2. New Orleans Hornets - - 70 % isn’t bad either. That’s what the Hornets have done against the BetUS spread in their last 10 games. They’er also 22 and 13 against the BetUS spread so far this season. That makes them a good wager any time they play in the dome.

3. Phoenix Suns - - The Suns have gone 5 and 0 straight-up and against the BetUS spread in their last 5 games. But after Seattle on Wednesday, they’ve got to go against the Rockets and Celtics in two of their next three. That will be the test.

4. Boston Celtics - - Thank goodness they righted the ship in Bean-Town! 8 and 2 against the BetUS spread in their last 10 games along with a fantastic win versus the Houston Rockets. They get Dallas and New Orleans next. That will give us more information about how the Celtics will fair in the playoffs.

5. Dallas Mavericks - - 6-3-1 against the BetUS spread in their last 10. The big disappointment was how they lost to the Lakers just this past Tuesday night. That was a bummer. They play Boston next. That will be tough.

6. Utah Jazz - - 7 and 3 against the BetUS spread in their last 10 games. Utah continues to be one of those hard to figure out teams. They are 22 and 10 against the spread at home this year and 15 and 22 against the spread on the road. Wait. That makes them easy to figure out. Bet them when they play at home.

7. Orlando Magic - - 6-3-1 against the BetUS spread in their last 10 games. These guys continue to do well on the road. They’re consistent. That makes them one of the better teams to wager on in the NBA.

8. Denver Nuggets - - 6 and 4 against the BetUS spread in their last 10 games. Match-up versus Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Memphis coming up spells Cha-ching!

9. Detroit Pistons - - Only 5 and 5 against the BetUS spread in their last 10 but they have gone 3 and 0 against the BetUS spread in their last 3 games. Perhaps, the Pistons are going to turn it on, right? Let’s hope so.

10. Philadelphia 76’ers - - 8 and 2 against the BetUS spread in their last 10 games. So, they aren’t they higher in these rankings? First, they are the 76’ers. Second, they have Denver and Orlando coming up. Yeah, they could go on a bad run soon…

Chilly Baby!

1. San Antonio - - There’s something wrong with the Spurs, okay? 1-8-1 against the BertUS spread in their last 10 games. What? Yeah. It’s true.

2. Los Angeles Clippers - - 2 and 8 against the BetUS spread in their last 10 games. No hope for these guys.

3. Seattle - - Not too bad, 4 and 6 against the BetUS spread in their last 10 games, but they gave up 168 points to Denver the other night and have gone 0 and 3 against the BetUS spread in their last 3 games. That sucks.

4. Milwaukee - - 3 and 7 against the BetUS spread in their last 10 games. These guys are just horrible.

5. New Jersey - - 3-6-1 against the BetUS spread in their last 10 games.
