NBA Odds - San Antonio Spurs vs. Denver Nuggets

San Antonio Spurs (+ 2.5) vs. Denver Nuggets (- 2.5)
Tip-off: 10:30 pm EST.
This is an interesting game as the San Antonio Spurs are on fire straight-up. Against the spread they haven’t been all that great going 5-4-1 in their last 10 games but in those last 10 games the Spurs were favorites. They are getting 2.5 BetUS points in their game tonight versus the Denver Nuggets. That changes my thoughts on this game some.
The Denver Nuggets have turned into an okay Western Conference team. They’ve gone 3 and 7 against the BetUS spread in their last 10 games, but are 18 and 13 against the BetUS spread at home so far this season. The Nuggets may not be a serious contender for the NBA Western Conference Championship but they sure can cause some issues for a team like the Spurs. Here are some other trends to look at:
The San Antonio Spurs are 2 and 7 against the spread in their last 9 games versus a team from the NBA Western Conference.
The San Antonio Spurs are 4 and 9 against the spread in their last 13 games playing on no days of rest.
The San Antonio Spurs are 6 and 2 against the spread in the last 8 meetings between these two teams in Denver.
The Favorite is 22 and 8 against the spread in the last 30 meetings between these two teams.
Like I alluded to above, the main difference I have with this game as opposed to the Spurs previous games is the fact that the Spurs are getting points from the Nuggets as opposed to having to give up points to them.
That’s huge in my eyes. When a serious straight-up team like the San Antonio Spurs gets points, I almost have to wager on them blindly. I mean, it almost never happens!
The Spurs are also the much better team in this situation. They are playing at an incredibly high level while the Denver Nuggets are off and on. I like the Spurs’ match-up at the point-guard position with Tony Parker going against Allen Iverson. I also think that Tim Duncan is the one player in the NBA who can counteract anything that Marcus Camby does on the defensive end.
The Spurs are simply better than the Nuggets. We’re getting BetUS points in this game. There is no reason not to go for San Antonio!
