NBA Furious Free Picks 2008 - Boston Battles Bumbling Bulls

Boston Celtics (58-15) vs. Chicago Bulls (29-44)

Tuesday, April 1 --- United Center, Chicago --- 8:30pm EST

NBA Betting Line: Boston -6.5 (197.5)

Remember when we gave a damn about this matchup? Oh the good ol’ days. Now that Boston is relevant again, and the Chicago Bulls have fallen off the map of consideration, it’s hard to get excited about this game. Thank goodness for BetUS.com! Boston is reasonably heavy favorite, but this line has to entice the betting community who has consistently been rewarded by Boston this season.

Drew Gooden is day-to-day with the dreaded “abdominal injury”. That means that Joakim Noah and Tyrus Thomas will have to deal with the Big Ticket. And that is something the two youngsters simply aren’t ready for. Not that Gooden would’ve been much better, but veteran savvy is a much better utility when dealing a guy like Garnett.

Boston has absolutely tooled Boston this season, outscoring them by an average 16.3 points per game this year. This goes without mentioning that Boston is 12-3 ATS in their last 15 games and 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games on the road. And Chicago has been brutal against the spread when playing Boston. They are 1-4 ATS when playing the boys from Beantown.

The match-ups on the rosters are complete mismatches for Chicago. Even “Raging” Rondo has stepped up his game as of late. I can’t see why people like Chicago at home…or at all. Take advantage of this wandering line at anything -9 for Boston. And stick to the UNDER because I envision Boston rolling out their subs in the fourth to see what they’re made of. But by then, this score will be so out of control, the Bulls can’t cover. I love this spread for the Boston betting faithful.
