NBA Furious Free Pick 2008 – Cavs To Rally In Cleveland

NBA Betting Line: Cleveland -1.5 (176)

LeBron James is doing everything he can, but Boston isn’t falling for his playoff antics like Detroit did last year. Paul Pierce “contained” LB23 to 21 points, which was enough considering that Ray Allen and The Truth found their scoring touch once again. The one-man army of LeBron is having trouble matching the tremendous trio in Boston.

Boston is averaging 100.5 points per sports betting game in these playoffs, but they’ve been focusing tightly on defense. They’ve held teams to an average of 90.3 points against, but Cleveland has only scored an average of 72.5 points per game in this series. Do you love the UNDER?

Not so fast there, chief. There’s been an interesting betting trend occurring the NBA playoffs. The lower seeded team that loses it’s first two games on the road has returned home to throttle the top seed in the series. Toronto did it to Orlando. Orlando did it to Detroit. Atlanta did it to Boston. Can Cleveland join in on the trend? With a tight line of -1.5 and a 14-5 SU record at Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland looks like a strong bet.

It also doesn’t help that Boston is 0-5 SU in their last five visits to Cleveland. The Cavs have gone 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games, but I love their chances of ripping this spread apart tonight, especially after the Game 3 home trend I just outlined (it works in Utah’s favor too, just so you know).

To be honest, I’m a little unsure of the O/U because you don’t know which Cavs teams is going to show up. But I love the spread in this bet for Cleveland as they host the Celtics tonight. Bet on the King welcoming the C’s to his home court with a monster performance.
