NBA Wagering - Utah Jazz vs. Portland Trailblazers

Make no mistake the Portland Trailblazers are for real. They are as good as any team in the Western Conference. Okay, maybe that’s too big of a statement, but I do think that this young team is definitely one to watch come playoff time. They play good defense, can run with the Suns and Warriors, and can slow it down against the Mavs and Spurs.
Here are some NBA betting trends that point to a Trailblazers’ blow-out:
The Portland Trailblazers are 14 and 2 against the spread in their last 16 games overall.
The Utah Jazz are 0 and 4 against the spread in their last 4 games after a 2 day rest.
The Portland Trailblazers are 9 and 2 against the spread in their last 11 games versus a team from the Western Conference.
The Utah Jazz are 5 and 12 against the spread in their last 17 games overall.
Portland is the better team. The Jazz aren’t a bad team, but they’re terrible on the road straight-up and they’re terrible against the spread.
Because I have so much faith in Portland in this game, I’m going to actually write that Portland is a great bet to cover up to 8.5 points. Anything above that, and you might want to start thinking about putting your money on the Jazz.
But anything below that and I’m all over the Blazers in this one. They were down in their last game, on the road, versus the Chicago Bulls. What did they do? They dominated the fourth quarter.
Brandon Roy, the Blazers’ heart and soul, is a player, man! The guy is almost unstoppable. The thing, of course, is that he’s not the only one. LeMarcus Aldridge is also a player. That makes the Blazers a very tough team to deal with.
The Blazers could easily blow Utah out in this game but let line movement determine your play.
