NBA Betting Trends - Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Detroit Pistons Game 2

Tonight, the Detroit Pistons (53-29) host Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers (50-32) who are 7-4 ATS (against the spread) this postseason.

In Game 1, Detroit beat Cleveland 79-76 with the Cavs taking the money as the 6½-point underdogs with the total playing well under 177. The money-dropping performance by Detroit put their postseason ATS record at 5-5-1.

Cleveland's LeBron James was scoreless in the first quarter and finished with a playoff-low 10 points, on 5-of-15 shooting, 10 rebounds and fell just short of a triple-double with nine assists in the opener on Monday.

Detroit's Richard Hamilton scored 24 points and had seven assists, while Rasheed Wallace had 15 points, 12 rebounds and a career-high seven blocks. Chris Webber scored 10 points and Tayshaun Prince added eight points and a playoff career-high nine assists.

Cleveland has struggled offensively in the postseason, scoring 90 points only once in their previous series against New Jersey and contributing heavily to the series playing under the total five times in six games.

With Game 1's total playing under, the Cavs have now sent under players to the bank to collect in eight of their eleven playoff contests this season. The under is 22-4 in the last 26 meetings against Detroit. Picking up the pace offensively doesn't figure to become easy against the Piston's stifling defense.

The outcome of the series opener has forced oddsmakers to move the total down to a low 174 and tag the Pistons a 5½-point favorite in Game 2.
