Bet on NBA - Celtics (predict: - 3.5) vs. Jazz (predict: + 3.5)

A lot regarding this look ahead game will depend on how the Utah Jazz do against the L.A.Lakers tonight. Pay close attention to that game. In any case I do believe that the Celtics, coming off a day of rest, will be much tougher against the Jazz than they were against the Sonics. The spread, since the Celtics are on the road, shouldn’t be too daunting for a team like the Men in Green.
First, some trends:
The Boston Celtics are 40-16-1 against the spread in their last 57 road games.
The Boston Celtics are 7 and 3 against the spread in their last 10 meetings versus the Utah Jazz.
The Utah Jazz are 16-5-1 against the spread in their last 22 home games.
The Jazz are good enough to play with the Celtics, but that extra day of rest should be all that the Celtics need in order to dominate the Jazz. The Jazz will be coming off of a road game versus the Lakers, should be tired, and shouldn’t be able to dominate on the inside like they usually try to do with Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur.
More importantly, any advantage the Jazz have with Derron Williams at the point has to be thrown out as the Celtics counter with Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen, all prowling the 3-point line.
This Celtics’ team doesn’t panic. When you can wager on them at such a low point spread, it is in your favor as an NBA bettor to do so.
By the way the Celtics did not cover in their game versus the Seattle Supersonics. The chances of the Celtics not covering two games in a row is very minimal this year in the NBA betting.

I’m taking the Celtics up to – 5 for sure in this one and maybe up to – 6 depending on how the Jazz do versus the Lakers. If they play well, then expect the Celtics to beat them by more. If they play terribly, then expect the Jazz to put up a better fight than anyone expects.
