NBA Wagering – Toronto Raptors at San Antonio Spurs
by Eric Williams
The San Antonio Spurs, (20-7 SU, 15-11-1 ATS, 12-15 O/U) have been winning despite a sudden rash of injuries that has caused each of the team’s all-star players to miss at least one game so far.
The Toronto Raptors, (15-14 SU, 15-13-1 ATS, 14-15 O/U) haven’t been able to build on the momentum they created by winning the Atlantic division last season, dealing with several injuries of their own to key players.
The Spurs (20-7) are coming off a 94-79 win over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday despite getting just eight points from superstar power forward Tim Duncan. The dominated the reeling Bulls, leading by as many as 25 points in the second half before going on cruise control.
The Toronto Raptors have lost three consecutive games, including a 122-103 blowout by the Phoenix Suns last Saturday. Though power forward Chris Bosh scored a career-high 42 points, nailing 22-of-24 free throws, the Raptors never really challenged the Suns at all and could be in serious trouble tonight as Bosh averages just 13.5 points per game in four career games in San Antonio.
