NBA Preseason Betting – Timberwolves (+6.5) at Pacers (-6.5)
By Eric Williams
This game between two rebuilding teams may not be very pretty, but it is a good opportunity for NBA bettors to increase their early season bankroll.
By now, everyone knows the Minnesota Timberwolves have traded superstar forward Kevin Garnett and in return, gotten a slew of young draft picks and young players from the Boston Celtics.
The T-Wolves will be very young this season – but probably have more athletic talent on the roster than almost any team in the league.
The Indiana Pacers have a new head coach in NBA veteran Jim O’Brien, but the same cast of mediocre players surrounding superstar Jermaine O’Neal.
Analysis: The Pacers may be a lame-duck team already. One that is good enough to win about 40 games but nothing more than that. At least the Timberwolves have a new direction – and plenty of young talent to go along with it. Take the young T-Wolves to cover.
