NBA Preseason Betting – Nets (+7) at Celtics (-7)

While most NBA handicapping experts are picking the Boston Celtics to either reach the conference or league finals with their revamped roster this season, believe it will take a bit more time for the team to gel into a cohesive enough unit that can challenge the best teams in the western conference.

The New Jersey Nets flamed out of last year’s playoffs, but return their trio of Jason Kidd, Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson. New Jersey will also benefit from the return of gifted forward Nenad Kristic who missed all of last season with a knee injury.

Analysis: While I like the Celtics to win tonight’s matchup, particularly at home, I like the veteran-laden Nets to keep this game close, even after each club goes to its respective reserves. Take the Celtics to win but the Nets to cover the spread.
