NBA Betting - Portland Trailblazers vs. Los Angeles Clippers

Portland actually played very well last night only losing to the Los Angeles Lakers by 13 points. The BetUS spread was 15.5 and for a moment there is looked like the Trailblazers might pull of a huge upset by winning straight-up. Then, the Lakeshow kicked things into gear and the Blazers ended up losing. But they held on versus the spread, right Becky? It was a much needed victory against the BetUS spread as the Trailblazers are now 2 and 8 against the spread in their last 10 games. The Clippers aren’t much better. They have gone 5 and 5 against the BetUS spread but are 0 and 2 against the spread in their last two games. Against the Boston Celtics in their last game the Clippers lost 104 to 76.

Here are more trends:

The Los Angeles Clippers are 4 and 1 against the spread in their last 4 games following an against the spread loss.

The Portland Trailblazers are 5 and 17 against the spread in their last 22 overall games.

The Portland Trailblazers are 7 and 3 against the spread in their last 10 games as a road underdog of between ½ a point to 4.5 points.

The FAVORITE is 11 and 4 against the spread in the last 15 meetings between these two teams.

The trends are all over the place in this game. This is not an easy one to call as both the Blazers and the Clippers are just bad teams. The Blazers were hot early this season, but they’ve come back to earth in a big way. The Clippers are just awful.

When in doubt, take the points. I don’t see any reason not too actually as the Blazers did show some guts in their game versus the Lakers. They kept going after the Lakers. They kept fighting all the way until the end and LeMarcus Aldrdige was fantastic.

He could be the reason that the Blazers pull a minor upset tonight and win this game straight-up. I just don’t like ever betting on the Clippers, no matter what the trends say.

The Clippers have no business ever being favored and, like the I.R.S., red flags go off in my head when I see them giving up points. That’s just me, but I feel much more comfortable taking the Blazers and the points instead of giving up points and counting on the Clippers to bring home an against the BetUS spread win tonight.

The BetUS NBA betting line is Portland Trailblazers + 3.5 against the spread on the road versus the Los Angeles Clippers.

I like the Trailblazers to pull the upset straight-up as well as beating the BetUS line. The Blazers should handle the Clippers on the road tonight.
