Bet on NBA - Indiana Pacers (+ 5.5) vs. Milwaukee Bucks (- 5.5)
By D.S. Williamson
The Pacers have gone 6 and 4 against the spread in their last 10 games. The Bucks have also gone 6 and 4 against the spread in their last 10 games. That makes this a very interesting and potentially profitable match-up tonight as both teams have a legitimate shot against the BetUS spread.
Here are some trends:
The Indiana Pacers are 5-0-1 against the spread in their last 6 games versus a team with a straight-up losing record.
The Indiana Pacers are 8 and 1 against the spread in their last 9 games playing on 0 days of rest.
The Milwaukee Bucks are 4 and 0 against the spread in their last 4 games playing a team from the Eastern Conference.
The FAVORITE is 5-1-1 against the spread in the last 7 meetings between these two teams.
The Bucks have lost three straight-up games in a row, but it has been to three fairly good Western Conference teams: the Phoenix Suns, New Orleans Hornets, and Golden State Warriors. They’re probably ecstatic to be playing the Pacers tonight after having to deal with those three teams.
The Pacers are an up and down lot having lost to both the Chicago Bulls and Sacramento Kings but beating the Atlanta Hawks in their last three. The bigger news regarding the Pacers is that their best player, Jermaine O’Neal, is on the bench for at least the next two weeks because of a knee injury.
Can Danny Granger, Jamal Tinsley, and Jeff Foster lead the Pacers to a win tonight either against the spread or straight-up? If you don’t recognize any of those names, you aren’t alone. Danny Granger leads the Pacers in scoring averaging 17.4 a game. Tinsley leads the team in assists averaging 8.6 and Foster leads the team in rebounds averaging 8.5.
It doesn’t look like O’Neal was leading the Pacers in any significant statistical category. That gives me hope because I just can’t see the Milwaukee Bucks beating the Pacers tonight by more than five points.
The BetUS NBA gambling line is Indiana Pacers + 5.5 against the spread on the road versus the Milwaukee Bucks.
I like the Pacers to beat that spread. Even without Jermaine O’Neal the Pacers are a good enough team to beat the BetUS 5.5 points.
