NBA Betting Furious Free Picks – Dangerous Knicks At Home Again

Why am I even bothering? Last time that I wrote that New York was going to cover at home, it was against Cleveland. Everything was going fine until Lebron went bat crap crazy in the fourth quarter going for fifty-points. Does Detroit have anyone on the roster that can do that? Nope. I still love New York at home, especially with a double-digit spread, but these are the facts you need to know.

New York is 8-2 ATS when playing Detroit in Madison Square Garden. The last time they got a line like this was against Orlando on the road (+11.5) and they got crushed by thirty points. Detroit is 4-9 ATS in their past 13 road games and they played atrociously the last time they played in the Garden. And atrociously is being gracious. They were hammered worse than Nolte on a Friday night binge in an 89-65 loss to the Knicks. So you have to think that revenge is a huge factor here.

The other big factor here is that Detroit is coming off a brutal loss to Boston and needs to rectify things. A simply win will do that, but Detroit is not in the habit of blowing teams out. The last spread they were given like this was the -15.5 against Seattle, and they nearly lost that one. Yeah sure, they won the game, but only by three points. And New York has the scoring to keep up with Detroit. And Detroit, again, does not have that runaway scorer who can blow open the doors for the Pistons.

Jamal Crawford has been impressive down the stretch, and I’m willing to be that he continues his strong play against Detroit. Crawford is averaging 21.8 points per game, and loves playing at home. Look for Crawford to key a big run by the Knicks before the closing minutes of the first-half. They Knicks will have to run the score in the first before Detroit has time to have a pow-wow and figure out why they are struggling against the Knicks.

The more and more the season drags on, it’s becoming apparent that Detroit is riding the coattails of its past success. They don’t look like the championship caliber roster that everyone is toting them to be. And that won’t be more apparent than when New York gives them a run for their money, and doubles yours.
