The Boston Celtics have won a grad total of 57 games the past two regular seasons – that was before the arrivals of Ray-Ray and KG.

Now that the Celtics have added Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett to go along with resident superstar Paul Pierce, the Boston Celtics suddenly look like one of the best teams in the eastern conference. While that suspense will play out all season, it hard to deny the fact that the Celtics trio makes for a formidable opponent.

While most hoops fans and bettors may like Boston’s additions for their on-court ability, (and I do too), I can unequivocally say that it will be Garnett’s locker room influence and off-court approach to the game, that will vault the Celtics to a 50-plus win season and an appearance in the eastern conference finals.

Analysis: Take this “lock” to the bank bettors, the Celtics are on a mission and will win over 50 games this season. Pencil the Celtics in to win between 53 and 58 games this season.
