NBA Basketball Betting - Milwaukee Bucks at New Jersey Nets
By Eric Williams
The Milwaukee Bucks, (22-35 SU, 26-30 ATS, 30-26 O/U), have picked up two consecutive wins and three out of four over three quality opponents, including a solid 105-102 victory over the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday in which all-star shooting guard Michael Redd drained a game-winning three-pointer to seal the deal.
The New Jersey Nets, (25-32 SU, 22-34-1 ATS, 25-30-2 O/U), have gone a respectable 2-2 since trading away all-star point guard Jason Kidd to the Dallas Mavericks for young point guard Devin Harris who should be able to go in this contest.
New Jersey’s other young point guard, Marcus Williams has been playing solid, if not outstanding basketball in the wake of the Kidd trade and the delayed availability of Harris because of an ankle injury while Richard Jefferson has been leading the way, averaging over 25 points per contest since the Kidd trade.
The Bucks have the sixth-worst road record in the league, winning just six of their 30 road games this season and will be playing a Nets team that lost its last time out and has been alternating wins and losses in their last six games.
Milwaukee is 6-4 against the spread in their last ten games and has covered in two consecutive games despite being underdogs each time.
The Nets have maintained the same inconsistency against the spread that they’ve shown all season long, going just 4-6 against the spread in their last ten games and failing to cover as six-point underdogs against the Magic.
Here is a look at tonight’s key trends, followed by my analysis and NBA Betting Free Picks.
The Bucks are 4-0 ATS in their last four games as an underdog of 0.5-4.5.
The Bucks are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games as an underdog.
The Nets are 5-1 ATS in their last six games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record.
The Nets are 4-1 ATS in their last five vs. NBA Central.
The Over is 4-0 in Bucks last four games as an underdog of 0.5-4.5.
The Under is 5-0-1 in Nets last six when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game.
The Under is 4-0 in the last four meetings in New Jersey.
The Under is 7-1 in the last eight meetings.
Analysis: The Bucks have been a big disappointment this season and absolutely horrific on the road this season, but I am going to take them to cover the spread tonight despite being on the road with an outright victory.
