Bet On NBA Basketball – Cleveland Cavaliers at Houston Rockets

Despite LeBron James’ recent cries for roster help, mostly in the form of Jason Kidd, the Cleveland Cavaliers, (27-20 SU, 22-25 ATS, 24-22-1 O/U), have succeeded, winning eight of their last ten and two straight coming into tonight’s matchup against the Houston Rockets, (28-20 SU, 24-23-1 ATS, 20-27-1 O/U) who have also won eight of their last ten and four straight.
The Cavaliers have won two straight coming into this game, including a close 114-113 win over the Boston Celtics and have covered the spread in seven of their last ten.
The Rockets beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 92-86 on Monday but are just 5-5 against the spread in their last ten games. Since the beginning of the New Year, the Cavaliers are a league-leading 13-3 while Houston has nearly kept pace with a solid 13-4 record.

The Cavaliers are 6-0 ATS in their last six after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.
The Cavaliers are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games.

The Under is 4-0 in Cavaliers last four vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.
The Under is 5-1 in Rockets last six vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.

The Home team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings.
Analysis: The Cavaliers – and particularly LeBron James – have made a habit of keeping games close and I don’t think this matchup is going to be any different. Take the Cavs and James to keep another game close – and possibly win outright.
