NBA Basketball Wagering Action – Philadelphia at Charlotte

While the Philadelphia 76ers, (40-41 SU, 43-35-3 ATS, 38-42-1 O/U), have undoubtedly been one of the best teams in the entire NBA in the season’s second half, going a solid 22-11 in the BetUS Sportsbook since getting off to a dismal 18-30 start, the Sixers have picked a really bad time to start playing mediocre basketball again as they are headed to their first playoff appearance since 2004-05 when they were still led by all-star shooting guard Allen Iverson. Bettors in the NBA online sports betting community are pulling their hair out.

The Sixers will take on the Charlotte Bobcats, (31-49 SU, 34-44-2 ATS, 41-38 O/U) tonight in their final regular season contest looking to avoid their fourth straight loss after getting robbed against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday, losing 91-90 as officials awarded Cleveland’s Devin Brown two cheap foul shots after time had expired in regulation, saying Brown got fouled just before time expired. Brown sank both free throws, turning what would have been a 90-89 Sixers win, into a disheartening loss.

"You feel like you just got seriously slapped in the face," Sixers swingman Andre Iguodala said. "It was like we had the 'W' and it was marked off."

The Sixers will face a Bobcats team that is headed to their fourth consecutive NBA Draft Lottery and is coming off a 112-108 overtime loss over the New Jersey Nets on Tuesday after blowing a 20-point lead.

"I think we thought we had them buried in the books, and you can't do that to any NBA team," said Charlotte guard Jason Richardson, averaging 29.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in his last four games. "You have a team down, you have to kick them.

In the NBA, if you don't kick them, they are going to kick you. That's what they did."

The Sixers have won just four of their last ten games while going 5-5 against the spread over the same span. Charlotte has won five of their last ten but has gone just 3-6-1 against the spread over the same span.

Here is a look at tonight’s Key Trends, followed by my analysis and NBA Wagering Free Picks:

The 76ers are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 Wednesday games.

The 76ers are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 road games.

The Bobcats are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall.

The Bobcats are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 vs. Eastern Conference.

The Under is 4-1 in 76ers last 5 games playing on 1 days rest.

The Under is 4-1 in Bobcats last 5 games playing on 0 days rest.

The Home team is 7-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings.

The Favorite is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings.

The Under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Charlotte.

Analysis: There is absolutely no way the Sixers lose this contest though the Bobcats certainly won’t make it easy. After getting robbed the last time out, expect the Sixers to thoroughly put the Bobcats away tonight.
