NBA Basketball Betting Utah vs New Orleans

Utah Jazz (+ 4) vs. New Orleans Hornets (- 4)
The Utah Jazz travel to New Orleans in a key Western Conference matchup. Sports betting community note, New Orleans is only 1 ½ games ahead of the San Antonio Spurs for the top spot in the Western Conference. If New Orleans wins tonight, they take a step closer to securing home-court advantage throughout the playoffs. The Hornets have gone 7-2-1 against the BetUS sports book spread in their last 10 games.
The Jazz need to win this game as well. The problem, of course, is that Utah just isn’t as good on the road as they are at home. On the road the Jazz have are 15 and 23 against the BetUS spread. In their last 10 the Jazz have gone 6 and 4 against the BetUS spread. Here are more trends.
The New Orleans Hornets are 6 and 1 against the spread in their last 7 games versus a team from the NBA Northwest Division.
The New Orleans Hornets are 37 and 18 against the spread in their last 55 games versus a team from the Western Conference.
The Utah Jazz are 8 and 1 against the spread in their last 9 games versus a team from the NBA Southwest Division.
The Utah Jazz re 8 and 3 against the spread in their last 11 games versus a team from the Western Conference.
The Over is 6 and 1 in the Jazz last 7 overall games.
The BetUS over/under is 210 points. That equates to 105 points for each team. I really think that this is the bet of the night as both the Jazz and the Hornets have two excellent point-guards.
The Hornets can play any style imaginable. The Jazz on the other hand are a much faster team then they were last year. Their record against the BetUS over/under skews towards the over. Surprising, right?
In any case the Hornets are feeling good about themselves right now. They will take their shots when they can and try to speed the game up as much as they can. That puts the Jazz in an enviable position. I expect the Jazz to keep it close early but to lose outright.
