NBA Basketball Betting - Memphis at Portland

WHO: Memphis Grizzlies (22-58 SU, 35-45 ATS) at Portland Trail Blazers (40-40 SU, 40-38 ATS)

WHERE: Rose Garden in Portland, OR

WHEN: Tuesday, April 15 at 10:05 PM ET

BetUS NBA basketball betting odds: Portland -11, Total 206.5

In the HEAD-to-HEAD NBA basketball online betting trends:

* PORT has covered seven of the last nine meetings

* PORT has won four of the last six meetings SU

* Four of the last six meetings have gone UNDER the total

* PORT has had the shooting edge in each of the last four meetings

* MEM has had the rebounding edge in four of the last five meetings

* MEM has made more three-pointers in eight of the last nine meetings

Memphis has averaged 7.5 three-pointers per game. The Grizzlies turn the ball an average of 14.9 times a contest. Also:

* MEM is 7-7 SU in its last 14 games

* MEM has covered 10 of its last 16 games

* MEM has played seven of its last nine games OVER the total

* MEM has won four of its last six road games SU

* MEM has covered seven of its last eight road games

* MEM has played four of its last six road games OVER the total

Portland has averaged 21.1 assists per game. The Blazers are sixth in the league in points allowed at home (94.1 ppg). Also:

* PORT has lost six of its last eight games SU

* PORT has covered four of its last six games

* PORT has played six of its last nine games UNDER the total

* PORT has won six of its last ten home games SU

* PORT has covered four of its last six home games

Portland would seem highly motivated, with the opportunity to post a winning record for the season. So it's Memphis on Tuesday and Phoenix on Wednesday night, as the Blazers, who were odd men out in the ultra-competitive Western Conference race, try to salvage some satisfaction in a season where they lost Greg Oden prior to the opening day tip-off.

But when you look at Memphis - and this is a shock - this team looks like it hasn't packed it in for the year. The Grizzlies have been overpriced to the point where they have covered seven of their last eight road games, but that's not been the whole story, as they have won four of the last six away from home.

Rudy Gay is finishing strong, with 24 ppg over his last nine, and rookie Mike Conley, who missed much of the season with an injury, has scored 59 points in his last three games, with a 3-to-1 assists-turnover ration in the month of April. Hakim Warrick has also been in double figures in 16 of his last 17 games.

In this series where five of the last seven meetings have been decided by six points or less, the points may provide value. Let's go with Memphis, the 11-point underdog in the BetUS NBA betting odds.
