NBA Basketball Betting Trends - Washington Wizards at Chicago Bulls
By Eric Williams
The Washington Wizards, (27-30 SU, 33-24 ATS, 28-29 O/U), are desperately trying to keep their heads above water and their season afloat after dealing with key injuries to several key players including all-star point guard Gilbert Arenas and all-star small forward Caron Butler, who have each missed significant time with while dealing with serious injuries.
The Wizards have struggled in a big way lately, dropping seven of their last ten games, including a 94-69 road loss to the Houston Rockets on Tuesday that snapped the team’s modest two-game winning streak.
The Chicago Bulls, (23-34 SU, 25-32 ATS, 29-26-2 O/U), currently in tenth place in the eastern conference, are trying to make a big playoff push after adding veterans Larry Hughes and power forward Drew Gooden and jettisoning former Defensive Player of the Year, Ben Wallace to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Bulls however, will have to do better than the 4-6 record they’ve posted in their last ten games and mediocre 2-2 mark since making their big trades.
The good news for the BetUS.com NBA Betting Community is that the Bulls have begun to cover the spread like crazy in the BetUS.com Sportsbook recently, going 7-3 against the spread in their last ten games while the Wizards have managed to go a respectable 6-4 against the spread over the same span.
Here is a look at tonight’s key trends, followed by my analysis and NBA Betting Free Picks.
The Wizards are 5-0 ATS in their last five games following a S.U. loss.
The Wizards are 6-0 ATS in their last six games playing on two days rest.
The Bulls are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games playing on one days rest.
The Bulls are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.
The Over is 4-0 in Wizards last four when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game.
The Under is 4-1 in Bulls last five home games vs. a team with a road winning percentage of less than .400.
The Favorite is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings.
The Over is 5-2 in the last seven meetings in Chicago.
Analysis: While the Wizards certainly know how to score the ball, the loss of Butler, more than Arenas, is starting to haunt them in a big way as evidenced by the measly 69 points they posted against the Rockets in their last game. Take the Bulls to cover the spread while winning going away tonight.
