NBA Basketball Betting – Red-Hot Sixers Play Host to Young Sonics

The Philadelphia 76ers, (28-33 SU, 32-26-3 ATS, 28-32-1 O/U), have won seven of their last ten games while making a late-season push for a spot in the eastern conference playoffs and come into tonight’s matchup against the Seattle Supersonics, (16-45 SU, 30-30-1 ATS, 26-35 O/U), having won two straight games, including a 106-80 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.
Seattle is just 3-7 in their last ten games and has lost two consecutive games coming into this affair including a 118-106 road loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Sixers say their season turned around when former general manager Billy King was replaced by the much more competent Ed Stefanski on Dec. 4.
"We kind of went through a change in management, and they wanted us to get up and down the court more," point guard Andre Miller said. "So with the athleticism we have on this team, we want to do that and get easy baskets."
The Sixers have also won10 of their last 13 games while averaging 101.8 points per game over the course of their run.
Despite their on-court failures this season, Seattle has managed to go 6-4 against the spread in its last ten games while the Sixers have managed to go 7-3 against the spread in their last ten games.

The Over is 5-0 in SuperSonics last five games as an underdog.
The Over is 5-1 in 76ers last six when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game.
The Under is 5-0 in the last five meetings.
The Under is 5-0 in the last five meetings in Philadelphia.
Analysis: While the Sixers are on a roll and have been playing excellent basketball lately, I like the Sonics to keep this game close and cover the spread in a losing effort. An even better wager for this matchup may be to take the ‘Over’.
