NBA Basketball Betting - Phoenix Suns vs. San Antonio

Phoenix Suns (+ 2) vs. San Antonio Spurs (- 2)

Everyone in the online basketball betting community is wondering what heppend to the fifteen point lead the Phoenix Suns had in game one. The Spurs showed the grit and determination that true champions are made of. Can the Suns split the first two games in San Antonio by making amends on Tuesday night?

The answer to that question will be harder to find then one might think. How much did the defeat take out of the Suns? Did San Antonio learn something from the first game in this series? There are a lot of questions going into Tuesday night’s game. Maybe, some of the trends will help us figure this thing out.

The Phoenix Suns are 7 and 1 against the spread in their last 8 games on a Tuesday night.

The Phoenix Suns are 4 and 1 against the spread in their last 5 games after allowing 100 or more points in their previous game.

The San Antonio Spurs are 13-3-1 against the spread in their last 17 playoff games as the favorite.

The Phoenix Suns are 4 and 1 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two teams.

The trends aren’t really telling us much. I mean, it’s obvious that the Suns blew the game, but according to the trends, the loss to the Spurs was an anomaly. Maybe the Suns have forgotten all about that loss and will come out with some extra fire on Tuesday night.

Or, maybe the loss to the Spurs is a sign that the Suns just don’t have what it takes to make it to the NBA Finals. The Suns weren’t soft in the first game of this series. They just sort of rested on their laurels and let the Spurs get back into it.

That and Amare Stoudemire fouled out of the game. Who’s to say it won’t happen again? I am of the belief that a team made up of Shaquille O’Neal, Steve Nash, Amare Stoudemire, Grant Hill and Raja Bell has too much pride to let something like the loss to Tim Duncan and the Spurs affect them in this game.

Too much experience for the Suns means that they will play this Tuesday night game the same way they played the first game in this series. Hopefully, with a different result.

The BetUS NBA betting line is Phoenix Suns + 2 against the spread on the road versus the San Antonio Spurs.

I’m taking the Suns.
