NBA Basketball Betting Odds – Philadelphia 76ers at Detroit Pistons

The Philadelphia 76ers, (30-34 SU, 34-27-3 ATS, 29-34-1 O/U), lost to the best team in the eastern conference in their last game, falling to the Boston Celtics 100-86 on Monday despite playing at home.
Philly’s reward for that loss is another tough meeting, this time with the second best team in the east, the Detroit Pistons, (46-17 SU, 34-28-1 ATS, 30-32-1 O/U).
Philadelphia has won seven of their last ten and 12 of 16 but will face another tall task in stopping the Pistons, winners of seven of their last ten and two straight coming into tonight’s matchup, including a 116-109 victory over the visiting Chicago Bulls on Sunday.
Tonight’s home contest will be the second in the Pistons’ five-game home stand.
"It's good to be home, especially for a stretch," said Chauncey Billups, who tied his season high by scoring 34 points against the Bulls. "We can start getting some games under our belt at home and have some good teams coming in where we know we've got to be on guard. We can't have letdowns. I look forward to this stretch."
However, the Sixers, who are in seventh place in the East,, are seeking their first playoff berth since 2004-05 and have covered the spread in the BetUS.com Sportsbook in seven of their last ten and four of five coming into tonight’s matchup.
Detroit has gone an uninspiring 4-6 against the spread in its last ten games.

The Over is 5-0 in 76ers last five games following a SU loss of more than ten points.
The Over is 4-1 in Pistons last five when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game.
The Favorite is 11-4-1 ATS in the last 16 meetings.
The 76ers are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings in Detroit.
Analysis: After incorrectly picking the Sixers to cover the spread against the Celtics at home in last game, I can’t in good conscience, pick them to cover a nine-point spread on the road against the Pistons. Take Detroit to cover with a double digit victory.
