NBA Basketball Betting - Nuggets Look to Cool Off Streaking Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs, (42-17 SU, 28-29-2 ATS, 23-36 O/U), may not be getting much national attention because of the Houston Rockets these days, but the Spurs, winners of 11 consecutive games and 15 of their last 16, take a back seat to no one when it comes to closing out contests.
The Denver Nuggets, (36-24 SU, 30-30 ATS, 33-27 O/U), on the other hand, have struggled all season to find the consistency they will need if they remain in the western conference playoff picture.
The Spurs beat the Indiana Pacers 108-97 on Thursday using their smothering defense to shut down another overmatched opponent – as they have in nearly all of their wins this season.
The Nuggets also picked up an emphatic victory in their last contest, routing the new-look Phoenix Suns 126-113 at home on Wednesday.
San Antonio has gone 5-4-1 against the spread in their last ten games while the Nuggets have struggled to cover the spread, going just 3-7 against the spread in their last ten games.

Analysis: Despite being on the road, I say take the more experienced and wiser Spurs to close out this contest against the Nuggets in what looks like a classic ‘last-possession’ type of contest.
