NBA Basketball Betting – Mavericks Host Jazz

NBA sports betting enthusiasts are in for a treat in tonight’s basketball matchup. While the Dallas Mavericks, (49-29 SU, 34-30-4 ATS, 37-39-2 O/U) have been playing solid basketball, winning four of their last five games, including Tuesday's 99-83 victory over the Seattle Supersonics, the Mavericks will be facing a Utah Jazz, (52-26 SU, 43-35 ATS, 41-36- O/U) that has been playing much more consistent basketball while rounding into playoff form.

The Jazz have won four consecutive games and eight of their last ten, but will face a Mavericks team that feels like they are getting better at exactly the right time.

"This is not a bad time to be playing your best basketball with the playoffs right around the corner," point guard Jason Kidd said. "We've had our tough spells. But we've bent, but didn't break. We're getting confident and playing at a high level."

Utah (52-26), which has the league’s best home record this season, (36-4), wrapped up its second straight Northwest title on Tuesday, beating the New Orleans Hornets 77-66 on the road and are hoping to improve their playoff position with just four games remaining.

"If we keep playing the way we are, we could end up having the home court," said Jazz point guard Deron Williams.

Utah held New Orleans to its lowest point total of the season just four days after holding the San Antonio Spurs to an eye-opening 64 points.

"We're trying to get sharpened up for the playoffs," said forward Carlos Boozer. "We didn't shoot the ball very well tonight, but we played good enough defense to win the game and for us that's a bigger sign. ... If we can play defense like this and like the way we played against San Antonio, we're going to have some more wins."

The Jazz are 7-3 against the spread in their last ten games and has covered the spread in four consecutive games while the Mavericks are 4-6 against the spread in their last ten.
