NASCAR Power Rankings - BetUS Sports Book Odds, Time to Get on Gordon
By D.S Williamson
After a week hiatus the men in the “four-tired” horses are back at it this weekend at good old Talladega. Talladega Superspeedway is the one NASCAR track that all online sports gamblers know about. Why? Because of Ricky Bobby of course! Too bad BetUS doesn’t offer online odds on that guy. Yeah, it’s a shame he isn’t real.
In any case the eight men I highlight below are real and all have a legitimate shot - - except one - - to not only garner a victory at Talladega this weekend but also to put themselves in a better position to win the Sprint Cup Championship. As always, I take into account their BetUS online odds when ranking them.
Let’s get to it!
NASCAR Power Rankings - - Great Eight
1. Jeff Gordon - - Gordon’s BetUS sports wager odds to win the Sprint Cup are 7 to 1. Gordon has won the last two races at Talladega. There’s no reason to suspect that he won’t win it again this weekend. More importantly, get on this guy right now at those 7 to 1 BetUS online odds. I mean, this is Jeff Gordon.
2. Jimmie Johnson - - Jimmie’s BetUS sports betting odds to win the championship have remained steady at 5 to 1. I like those odds. If Jimmie puts together some wins, which he eventually does, then his sports book odds will go down to 3 to 1 or even 2 to 1. Let’s keep Jimmie in the top five for now.
3. Kyle Busch - - His BetUS sports wagering odds of 7 to 1 are just as good as Gordon’s. Why is Gordon ranked ahead of Kyle in this week’s rankings? Because Gordon will most likely win at Talladega on Sunday. That means that next week Gordon’s odds to win the Cup will go down while Kyle’s odds should stay steady. It’s important to jump on Gordon now. Kyle? Not so sure.
4. Tony Stewart - - No more cracks about this guys’ weight? Okay? My question is with the way this guy sweats in that suit he wears during races- - heck, he’s got to be guzzling more then your basic Coors Light to put on the pounds, right? Anyhow, Smoke will start putting down the thousand island drenched Subway sandwiches and start winning races. I guarantee it. That means that the BetUS online odds on this guy of 6 to 1 will eventually go down.
5. Carl Edwards - - BetUS sports wagering odds are too low at 5 to 1. In order for me to place an online wager on this guy to win the Cup, he’s got to lose a few in a row and drift up to 7 to 1. He still makes the ranking, though, because he’s driving like Speedracer.
6. Denny Hamlin - - At BetUS online gambling odds of 9 to 1, Denny is actually a good wager right now to win the Cup. One problem with Denny is that both Kyle and Smoke are on his team. I like both of them more. I also think out of the three drivers Denny’s odds will continue to rise. So, putting an online wager on him right now may not be the way to go.
7. Kevin Harvick - - Too good of a driver not to put himself into the Cup chase. 14 to 1 BetUS sportsbook odds require us to think about him before he starts winning races with regularity. I don’t understand how a dude who is sponsored by Penzoil can’t get himself a better car. I mean, Penzoil’s job is make cars run better. Shouldn’t Penzoil help this guy out? It’s definitely not his driving that’s causing him to lose races.
8. Dale Earnhardt Jr. - - The only reason he is on this list is because everybody and their mother wants him to win the Cup this year. I don’t know why. I really don’t. Everybody loves Dale. I don’t dislike the guy, but the BetUS betting odds of 5 to 1 are just too low for a guy whose crew can’t pull their you know what out of their - - well, you get it. Anyhow, Dale could win the Cup if everybody else on this list quits. I doubt that will happen. But until folks stop treating him like Christ in a Car, I’ll have to keep putting him on this list.
