NASCAR Odds – Bet on the Sylvania 300

Sunday's Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire International Speedway is the first race in a ten event postseason for the Nextel Cup's Chase for the Cup and there's twelve drivers eligible. We have the NASCAR betting fanatic's winning selection to raise the cup and the strongest pick to find Victory Lane this weekend at Loudon.

Point's leader Jimmie Johnson is displayed as the favorite in NASCAR odds (futures) to win the cup at +225. Johnson is coming off back-to-back victories at Richmond and California, giving him a series-best six wins this year. The defending series champion has two wins, 2-top fives and 3-top 10 finishes at Loudon and brings a ton of momentum into the chase.

Johnson brings consistency and ability to win to the Chase. At the ten tracks that make up the playoffs he has won at seven of them. Johnson is your ticket to a payday as he successfully defends his title.

As for this week's race, Jeff Gordon should capture the respect of bettors. Gordon leads the series in poles (8), top-five finishes (15) and top 10's (21). He has three wins and three poles at New Hampshire and was second here in July and third last September.

On short and flat tracks such as New Hampshire, Gordon has a six-race streak of top-fives and has finished in the top 15 in all but one event dating back to the start of 2005.

Gordon is the co-favorite along with teammate Johnson and Denny Hamlin at +500 to win the Sylvania 300 outright. Gordon should have no problem starting off the chase in winning fashion with a victory on Sunday.
