MLB Saturday Baseball Betting - New York Mets vs. Arizona

This is going to be a great online betting Saturday! Although most of my attention will be drawn to Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby, I will be checking in on this terrific game between the New York Mets and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Both teams send their ace to the mound. No offense to Johann Santana, but Mike Pelfrey has been pretty good so far this season. His ERA has floated up some since the last time I placed a baseball betting online wager on him, to 4.43, but he’s still 2 and 1 on the season and has only given up three home-runs in 22.1 innings pitched. The problem with Pelfrey is that it seems he can’t last all that long in games. The 22.1 innings pitched came in four games. That’s roughly 5.1 innings per game.
That might not be good enough on Saturday because the Arizona Diamondbacks send their undisputed ace, Brandon Webb, to the mound. Maybe Webb got pissed off after hearing some of the so-called experts say that he wasn’t the best pitcher in the National League. Webb is a BetUS online sportsbook hero. He’s 6 and 0 on the season with a 1.98 ERA and 34 strike-outs. What’s really impressive is the fact that Webb has pitched 41 innings in those 6 games. That equates to almost seven innings a game. Remarkable.

New York Mets
Mike Pelfrey – R + 1 ½ - 125 + 150 O 7 Ev
Arizona Diamondbacks
Brandon Webb – R - 1 ½ + 135 - 175 U 7 - 130
If the BetUS online sportsbook MLB betting odds on this game turn out even remotely close to what I have above, then my mind will have been made up for me. Webb will lose a game or two this season, but it won’t happen this Saturday with the Arizona Diamondbacks being at home.
I believe that Webb comes out and dominates the Mets from the first pitch to the last this Saturday. Giving up a run and a half on Brandon Webb is meaningless to me if I can get above even money on the online sportsbook bet.
That’s how good Webb is in my mind.
I’ll be placing a wager on Brandon Webb and the Arizona Diamondbacks – 1 ½ runs at anything remotely close to above even money odds.
