MLB Props Betting – Yankees-Indians Game 4

The New York Yankees, trailing 2-1 in their crucial American League division matchup against the Cleveland Indians heading into tonight’s Game 4, should be feeling good about themselves after last night’s convincing 8-4 win over the Indians, but still have plenty of work to do against Cleveland if they are going to advance to the AL championship round against the perennial arch rivals, the Boston Red Sox.
With that in mind, tonight’s possible, season-ending contest for the Yankees takes on even more importance and the clever oddsmakers at BetUS, always realizing that there is a game within each game, have once again come up with a set of ingenious props wagers for tonight’s contest.

Analysis: Blake is having a miserable series, going 1-for-12 through three games with a double being his only hit. Abreu, hasn’t been much better, going 2-for-10 in the series with two walks, one double and one RBI. Both players went 0-for-4 in yesterday’s Game 3. Take Abreu to get at least one hit, and likely two tonight going up against right-handed Cleveland starter, Paul Byrd while Blake struggles again for the Indians against Ming-Wang.

Analysis: The Indians have five total home runs in the series from five different players while the Yankees have just four home runs through three games with two of those coming form leadoff hitter, Johnny Damon. However, I like the Yankees to go deep at least twice tonight while out-homering the Indians on their way to victory.

Analysis: Cabrera is just 2-for-12 (.167) in the series while Jhonny Peralta is 4-for-12 (.333) with three walks and one RBI. Take Peralta to win this wager tonight.

Sizemore vs Jeter - most total bases

Analysis: Sizemore is 4-for-13 for the series (.364) with two walks while Jeter is batting a dismal .083 (1-for-12) with four strikeouts. Even though the Yankees have the better starter on the mound tonight I still like Sizemore to win this matchup.

Analysis: I’ll keep this pick short and sweet. Take the Yankees to win this props wager as I expect them to pound Cleveland’s Paul Byrd and the relievers that follow as they cruise to victory with Ming-Wang on the hill.

Analysis: When I look into my crystal ball, I see three home runs tonight, with at least two of those coming from the Yankees powerful lineup. Each team can’t pound the ball out of the yard with scary regularity at times and should go over the 2.5-home run spread tonight after a semi-power shortage from each team throughout the series.
