MLB Online Betting - Royals vs. Angels

After a so-so start to the MLB Season the L.A. Angels of Anaheim have suddenly turned into the team that online sports betting enthusiasts thought might be at the beginning of the season. They’ve won three games in a row. In those three games they have scored 10, 7 and 7 runs respectively. In Wednesday night’s game versus the Kansas City Royals the Angels send Jered Weaver to the mound. Weaver is 1 and 2 on the season with a 3.79 ERA. He’s only given up 8 runs in three games.

Kansas City counters with right-hander Gil Meche. Meche is 0 and 2 on the season with an ERA of 7.13. He’s given up 14 runs off of 19 hits. The Royals swept the Detroit Tigers to start the season. Then, they won two out of three games against the New York Yankees. Unfortunately, they’ve gone 2 and 4 straight-up in their last six games.

Let’s take a look at the BetUS lines.

Gil Meche – R + 1 ½ - 150 + 140 O 8 ½

L.A. Angels of Anaheim

Jered Weaver – R - 1 ½ + 130 - 160 U 8 ½

There are a couple of wagers above that I really like in this game. The first is the BetUS over. The Angels have been on fire lately. They should score between 6 to 8 runs in this game. Meche is not a strong pitcher. That means that the incredibly talented Angels’ line-up will get to him early.

The Angels also give up their fair share of runs. I expect them to give up at least three runs in this game, maybe four. That should guarantee an over game.

The other bet that’s enticing is Jered Weaver – 1 ½ +130. The Angels should win this game by at least three runs based solely on their talent. Weaver has settled down after his first game of the season. That’s a good sign for Angel fans and BetUS baseball bettors. A solid Jered Weaver, giving up no more then four runs in this game, means that the Angels will win by at least three runs.

I like both of these bets equally.

I like the BetUS over. I also like giving up 1 ½ runs in this game to get plus odds on Jered Weaver. I just think that the Angels are too good for Kansas City in this game.
