MLB Online Baseball Betting - Rockies vs. Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers send Brad Penny to the mound in their Saturday night online baseball betting game versus the Colorado Rockies. Penny is considered the Dodgers’ ace. Of course, he rarely gets the run support that he needs. Heck, nobody in the Dodgers’ rotation does. As far as sports betting odds are concerned, Penny will no doubt be the favorite come early Saturday morning. His ERA of 2.67 is very good. He has a record of 3 and 2 on the season but that’s mostly because he rarely gets the run support that he needs.

The Rockies counter with pitcher Mark Redman. Redman, who played for the Atlanta Braves last year, isn’t exactly the online wagering dream that Penny should be. The Rockies haven’t been all that good at giving their guys run support this year either. While Penny has a decent ERA and only needs some help from his teammates to start winning games, Redman might need to think of other ways to get his game going. Yes, Redman does have a record of 2 and 1 on the season, but that ERA of 5.23 isn’t going to cut it. Not in the long-run. Not when so many dollars could potentially be wasted on sportsbook bets that involve him.

Here are my personal betting odds for this game.

Colorado Rockies

Mark Redman – L + 1 ½ - 105 + 185 O 8 ½

Los Angeles Dodgers Brad Penny – R - 1 ½ + 115 - 170 U 8 ½

Penny will be a decided favorite in this game. I keep waiting for the Dodgers to give run support to old Brad, but for some reason they just can’t do it. The Dodgers are a goofy team. They beat-up on Danny Haren, one of the Arizona Diamondbacks best pitchers, one night and then end up losing to Edgar Gonzales, one of the D’Backs worst pitchers, the next night. Go figure.

The predicted BetUS online wagering odds I’ve listed above say that Penny rocks the joint and takes out the Rockies. I hate having to go with it, but I have absolutely no faith in either the Rockies’ ability to score runs against a pitcher the caliber of Penny or the Rockies’ ability to prevent the Dodgers from scoring runs.

I’m going to have to say that Brad Penny giving up the 1 ½ runs at + 115 is the best online wager that BetUS may offer on Saturday.

Who knows? I might get lucky. Maybe the BetUS online sportsbook odds are Penny – 1 ½ and + 125?

It really doesn’t matter. I’m going to give up the run and a half and take Penny in this game.
