MLB Online Baseball Wagering - Astros vs. Reds

This is another game where the BetUS online baseball odds are definitely going to be difficult to decipher. Finding a sports book wager in this game will not be easy. The problem stems from the fact that neither Bronson Arroyo, starting for the Reds, nor Chris Sampson, starting for the Astros, has been all that good this year. Arroyo has gone 0 and 2 in four starts so far this season. His ERA is a terrible 5.48.

The Astros’ Chris Sampson has gone 0 and 2 on the season as well. His ERA is an even worse 8.74 for the season. But in terms of baseball betting, Sampson might be the better wager. Before I get to that, let’s take a look at the BetUS sports wagering lines.

Cincinnati Reds

Bronson Arroyo – R - 1 ½ + 130 - 160 U 10 - 115

Rarely will you see me suggest giving up sports betting odds on a pitcher in any game to receive a run and a half. But in this game, I do think one of the strongest BetUS online wagers is Chris Sampson at + 1 ½ - 150.

There are a couple of reasons why I like this online bet. First, I do believe that Chris Sampson will pitch well coming off of his last start where he got obliterated. He’s a much better pitcher than that. Second, the Astros have finally gotten their bats going thanks to both Miguel Tejada and Kazuo Matsui. Matsui, who has one of the largest porn collections of any player in Major League Baseball (wouldn’t it be cool if BetUS had betting lines on how many pieces of porn the guy actually had?), has been hitting the balls very well lately - - no pun intended.

The other wager I like is on the Astros to win this game straight-up at BetUS sports book betting odds of + 140. If I like Sampson at – 150, then why not put an online wager bet on the Astros to win this thing straight-up? Let’s call it our “saver” bet.

Arroyo, by the way, hasn’t won a game in the month of April dating back to 2007. MLB baseball betting rules require us to put some money on Sampson!
