MLB Online Baseball Wagering - Angels vs. Tigers

Is Justin Verlander back? The Detroit Tigers certainly hope so. After going 0 and 3 in his first four starts of the season, Verlander was fantastic against the Texas Rangers in his last outing. He made those of us involved in online MLB betting very happy by allowing only 1 run to the Rangers in 6 innings. Verlander equates his great outing against the Rangers last time to moving his arm slot up “just a hair”. You can’t be an idiot and be a successful pitcher in the major leagues, right?

The Los Angeles Angels counter with their ace, Jered Weaver. Okay, maybe Weaver isn’t their ace anymore after going 1 and 3 with a 4.50 ERA this season. Betting on Weaver is always a difficult BetUS online wager to make as he never seems to get the run support needed for him to get the victory. Weaver is not a bad pitcher. The Angels are not a bad team, but they will need to step it up to take down the Detroit Tigers who are finally starting to look like that World Series threat that everybody, including me, pegged them to be at the beginning of the season.

Here are my personal betting lines for this game.

Los Angeles Angels

Jered Weaver – R + 1 ½ - 145 + 165 O 9 ½

Detroit Tigers

Justin Verlander – R - 1 ½ + 125 - 185 U 9 ½

Verlander could very well shut-down the Angels in this game. First, he has adjusted his throwing motion in order to become the great pitcher that he was a few seasons ago. Second, the Angels never give Weaver the amount of runs that he needs in order to win games.

Because of that I’m going to go ahead and say that giving up the run and a half on Justin Verlander in this game at plus odds is going to be a very good sportsbook wager to make. The run and a half doesn’t bother me all that much because the Tigers should score at least 7 runs all on their own.

How good have the Tigers’ bats been? Excellent! They have won more online odds betting wagers then almost any other line-up in their last four games. Mainly, because the Tigers are good enough to get the over all by themselves.

Guess where the rest of my money ear-marked for this game is going? That’s right! The BetUS baseball online odds regarding the over/under.

Now, the over/under in this game might be around 10 or 10 ½. I will still put an online wager on it. I just don’t see this game going anywhere under 12 runs.
