MLB Online Baseball Betting - Florida at Cincinnati

BetUS MLB baseball betting odds: Cincinnati -140, Florida +120; Total 10 (-110 each way)

The Florida Marlins (23-16) will try to avoid losing the third straight sports betting game in this four-game online betting series when they take the field at the Great American Ball Park against the Cincinnati Reds (17-23) in NL online sports betting action that is set to begin Wednesday night at 7:10 PM ET.

Ricky Nolsaco (2-3, 6.32 ERA) gets the start for the Marlins, while Bronson Arroyo (2-4, 7.14 ERA) takes the mound for the Reds, in this battle of righties.

At BetUS Sportsbook, Cincinnati is listed as a -140 favorite (Florida is +120), with a total of ten runs (both the Over and Under are -110).

Here are some of the MLB Baseball betting trends as they relate to this matchup:

* FLA has won seven of its last nine games

* FLA has won four of its last six road games

* CIN has won four of its last six games

* CIN has won four of its last five home games

* CIN has played four of its last six home games

In the HEAD-TO-HEAD baseball betting trends:

* CIN has won the last five meetings

* Seven of the last nine meetings have gone OVER the total

* CIN has won seven of the last eight meetings as the home team

* Five of the last seven meetings in Cincinnati have gone OVER the total

Last night's 5-3 Cincinnati victory, behind six solid innings from Edinson Volquez, was their fifth straight against this marlin team. And Volquez made his eighth consecutive start where he did not give up more than one run. The Reds still sit in the cellar of the National League's Central division, but they are over the .500-mark at home and far from out of the race. The Marlins are still holding on to first place in the National League East, but of course, they have the Phillies and Mets nipping at their heels.

Bronson Arroyo's performances have been relatively uneven; he was strong last time out, giving up one run in eight innings and striking out nine against the Mets four days ago, but he gave up 18 runs in his previous three starts, and in only one outing has he gone beyond the sixth inning. The Reds' bullpen, which has posted a 4.34 ERA (25th in the majors), will almost certainly have to play a prominent role here.

Nolsaco has surprised people in two of his last three starts. Last Friday in Washington he held the Nationals to a run and four hits in six innings to help Florida to a 7-3 victory. And on April 27 he pitched two-hit ball over five frames as the Marlins won a 3-2 decision over the Brewers. In between, he got rocked by San Diego, surrendering ten hits and six runs in less than five innings.

Arroyo has not had a lot of rest, and that will be a factor. So will the bullpen, which has been porous on occasion. We like the Marlins to stop the bleeding here, and will take the +120 price as it is offered in the BetUS Major League Baseball betting odds.
