MLB Betting Free Picks – Washington Nationals at New York Mets

After taking two of three online betting games from the New York Mets, (20-18, 18-20 RL) including Wednesday night’s 5-3 victory, the struggling Washington Nationals, (17-24, 23-18 RL) enter tonight’s sports betting matchup looking to hand the Mets their first home series loss of the regular season.
After scoring 18 runs over the three games, including 10 runs in Monday’s emphatic 10-4 win over New York, the Nationals will be looking for more against Mets right-handed starter Mike Pelfrey (2-3, 4.86 ERA) who is coming off a solid performance in his last start, limiting the Cincinnati Reds to two runs on eight hits in six innings, though the Mets went on to lose 7-1 last Saturday.
Washington will hand the ball to right-hander Jason Bergmann (0-1, 11.68), after recalling Bergmann from Triple-A Columbus after demoting him on April 12 after he had gone 0-1 with an 11.68 ERA in his first three appearances.

Analysis: Simply put, take the Mets to pound mediocre Nationals starter Jason Bergmann into submission early while getting a solid performance from Mike Pelfrey while they cruise to victory and avoid losing their first home series of the season.
