MLB Betting Free Picks – Tigers Visit Hot D-Backs

The Detroit Tigers, (16-25, 17-24 RL) have been the biggest sports betting disappointment in all of baseball in the early going of the 2008 online betting season, struggling mightily despite having one of the game’s most feared batting orders.
The Tigers have dropped four straight games and five of their last six, including a three-game sweep at the hands of the Kansas City Royals that concluded with Thursday’s 8-4 loss to the Royals.
"We're not stringing good at-bats together," Tigers manager Jim Leyland said. "I'm very surprised and disappointed in the results so far, but I'm not disappointed in the effort."
While the Tigers continue their season long struggles, the Arizona Diamondbacks, (26-15, 23-17 RL) have been the best team in baseball all season long and enter tonight’s contest having won three straight games after sweeping the Colorado Rockies in a three-game set that concluded with Thursday’s 8-5 win.
The Tigers will have to face stellar Diamondbacks right-hander Dan Haren, (4-2, 3.04 ERA) who went a perfect 4-0 for the Oakland A’s last season in interleague games.
Haren, who is 4-0 at home this season with a miniscule 1.93 ERA in five starts, is coming off a solid performance despite being tagged with a loss after limiting the Chicago Cubs to just two runs on five hits while striking out five in seven innings as Arizona fell 3-1 one week ago.
Detroit will counter with right-handed starter Jeremy Bonderman (2-4, 4.80) who has been rocked in his last two starts, including. Allowing five runs on six hits in just four innings as Detroit lost to the New York Yankees on Saturday 5-2.
