MLB Baseball Odds - Dodgers vs. Diamondbacks

The Dodgers got smacked around by the Diamondbacks on Monday; making some sports betting followers a little uneasy. The D’Backs laid 9 runs and 12 hits on the Dodgers. Joe Torre called an audible right before the game by starting Estaban Loaiza instead of Chad Billingsley. Maybe, it will turn out to be a good thing for the Dodgers in this game.
Billingsley should start against the D’Backs tonight. BetUS
Sports Book actually has it as a better match-up for the Dodgers as the D’Backs starter, Doug Davis, just doesn’t appear to be on the same level as a Danny Haren. Haren pitched six inning on Monday and gave up only one run. Davis will be lucky to give up less than three runs in two innings of work against a Dodgers’ team that should go long.

Arizona Diamondbacks
Doug Davis – R + 1 ½ - 145 + 115 U 9
Davis just isn’t as good of a pitcher as the D’Backs first two starters - - Brandon Webb and Danny Haren. Because of that there appears to be one solid bet in this game.
I’m looking to Chad Billingsley to have a good game. Why not? Torre held him back to give him an extra day of rest. Torre knows what he’s doing. After pitching two scoreless innings on Friday in relief, Billingsley should be ready to take the D’Backs out in this game.
In any case he’s a much better pitcher than Doug Davis. Davis, who’s making over 5 million dollars this year, should be good for 5 or 6 runs against a Dodgers line-up that really hasn’t done what it should be doing on a regular basis.
Like the Angels in the A.L., I expect this L.A. team to score between 4 to 6 runs a game. Andruw Jones has been awful, but he could break out of his slump at any time. Why not against a guy like Doug Davis who doesn’t mind giving up the long-ball?
