MLB Baseball Online Betting - Padres vs. Dodgers

Man, this is going to be good! Well, it’s going to be good if you are a fan of watching great pitchers shut down batters. The Padres’ Jake Peavy takes the mound in what is sure to be one of the most hostile environments he has ever pitched in. Less than a week ago, Peavy strong-armed the Dodgers in San Diego. He gave up only two hits in that game. Want to read more stats? How about the fact that Jake Peavy is 10 and 1 lifetime against the Dodgers with an ERA of 2.21? Peavy’s ERA so far this season is 0.56.

The Dodgers counter with their stud - - Brad Penny. Penny is a good pitcher, but he’s terrible against Jake Peavy. Peavy has won four out of the five times the two pitchers have met. Penny gave up four first inning runs in the game in San Diego. He might pitch better at home, but it probably won’t matter.

As much as I love Jake Peavy, I have to say that putting up 220 to get 1 ½ runs just isn’t a great wager. I mean, strange things can happen when these two teams meet. Peavy is almost unbeatable as it is and receiving a run and a half sure is tempting but that’s too much money for me to put up.

I’m inclined to just say that Peavy shuts down the Dodgers and the Padres give him enough run support for San Diego to win this thing outright. The BetUS odds are a “juice” type football bet. The way I see it, Peavy has the Dodgers’ number. He also has Brad Penny’s number.

I’m not going to get fancy with this game. I’ll just put some dollars on the San Diego Padres to win this thing straight-up.

My gut tells me that Jake Peavy is going to have a monster game. By the time the Padres have to go to their bull-pen, the only thing left to hear will be the fat lady.
