MLB Baseball Odds Free Pick White Sox vs Tigers

The Tigers were swept by the Kansas City Royals last week. Man, that’s not good! For all the harping on how good the Tigers were going to be, I’m at fault as well, they looked absolutely horrid against the Royals. I mean, they looked like garbage. I know that it’s early, but I expected something more out of Detroit right out of the gate. It didn’t happen.

They have a chance to make amends by taking down the Chicago White Sox this Sunday. Detroit has Justin Verlander scheduled to start for them in this game. Verlander has a good lifetime ERA of 3.78 but in his first game of the season, neither a personal win nor loss, Verlander left the game with an ERA of 6.00. That’s not good.

The White Sox counter with Mark Buehrle who has a lifetime ERA of 3.84. He left his first game, neither a personal win nor loss, with an ERA of 37.80. Here are my personal wagering lines.

Chicago White Sox

Mark Buehrle + 1 ½ - 145 + 125 O 10 ½

Detroit Tigers

Justin Verlander - 1 ½ + 125 - 115 U 10 ½

Both Verlander and Buehrle should come into this game and pitch much better than they did in their first outings of the season. Because of that I do think that this will be a closely contested game.

In fact I’m inclined to throw some caution to the wind and just go with the White Sox who figure to be the underdog in this game.

Detroit has done nothing yet this season to convince me that they will challenge the Red Sox, Yankees or Angels for the top spot in the American League. So far Detroit is a cellar-dweller. Because I have so much faith in manger Jim Leyland, I do believe that Detroit will put themselves into position to grab a playoff spot, but that’s down the road.

Right the now Tigers are just trying to win a game. I don’t think they will with Buehrle on the mound and that very intense Chicago manger named Ozzie calling the shots. My money will be on the White Sox to win this game against the money-line as long as they are getting + 125 or more.

I’m predicting that the BetUS money-line will settle around + 125. At that or higher, I’m wagering on the White Sox to win this game.
