MLB Baseball Wagering – Blue Jays at Orioles

The Baltimore Orioles, (8-5, 4-9 O/U), have been one of the biggest sports wagering surprises in all of baseball betting this season and enter tonight’s matchup against the visiting Toronto Blue Jays, (7-6, 4-7-2 O/U) riding a six-game home winning streak in the BetUS Sportsbook, including their close 4-3 win over the Blue Jays on Monday.

The Orioles are hitting a ripe .313 during their streak and will send veteran right-hander Steve Trachsel (1-1, 3.00 ERA) to the mound looking to continue his personal mastery of the Blue Jays as he is a perfect 6-0 in his career against Toronto with a 3.12 ERA in seven career starts.

Trachsel has been solid in both of his outings this season and is coming off a fine performance in his last outing, limiting the Texas Rangers to three runs on five hits in 6 1/3 innings of a 3-1 loss at Texas on Thursday.

Toronto will turn to right-hander Shaun Marcum (1-0, 2.57), who has been very effective in two starts that each lasted seven innings. Marcum struck out eight batter while allowing just one run on six hits in Toronto's 3-2, 12-inning loss to the Oakland A’s on Thursday.

"I've never been a guy to worry about myself," Marcum told the team's official Web site. "It's more about the team. So if I go out there and do my job and we lost, then I don't feel like I did my job. We've just got to move on."

Marcum however, is 0-1 with a high 7.40 ERA in four starts against the Orioles.

The Over is 4-1 in the last five meetings in Baltimore.

Analysis: I firmly believe the Blue Jays are the better team entering this matchup and will win this contest as Marcum out-duels

Trachsel in a classic pitcher’s matchup. This game could literally be a repeat of last night’s close contest.
