MLB Baseball Betting Odds - St. Louis vs. San Francisco

I thought the Cardinals could be a surprise team going into this season. After the first week of sports betting baseball, nothing has changed my mind about them. The Cardinals are 7 and 2 and lead the N.L. Central Division. They are doing what they do every year - - winning games with excellent pitching and great management. Why folks ever doubted this team is beyond me. Some money can be made on the sportsbook with this team.

On Thursday night St. Louis sends Adam Wainwright to the mound. Wainwright is a very, very good pitcher. So far this season he has a 2.23 ERA. He’s 1 and 0 on the season and might have a huge game against the Giants on Thursday night.

The Giants are terrible. They should lose 100 games this season. Heck, maybe 120. They are 2 and 7 so far this season. Okay, maybe they win more than 42 games. Then again, they do send Kevin Correia to the mound. Correia has a 6.00 ERA this season. This should be another chalk mark in the loss column.

Not only that, but Correia is good for giving up a few runs - - I’m thinking at least 4 - - and 2 runs are all that the Cardinals will need. I think that St. Louis has an excellent chance of blanking the Giants on Thursday night.

Wainwright will set things up perfectly for the Cardinals’ bull-pen to come in and do what they do best - - clean things up in 7th inning on. The Cardinals’ bats should be lively and the Giants - - well, the Giants are terrible.
