MLB Baseball Betting Odds - Diamondbacks vs. Padres

This is going to be good! For MLB Betting fans it doesn’t get any better then Sunday’s game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the San Diego Padres. Why? Because two of the best pitchers, maybe the two best pitchers, in Major League Baseball take the mound in this game. The D’Backs send out Brandon Webb who is 5 and 0 with an ERA of 2.59. He’s allowed only 10 runs in five games and has pitched 35 innings in those five games. That’s an average of 7 innings per game. It doesn’t get much better then that. BetUS MLB online wagers should be streaming to this guy every time he’s on the mound.

Of course, who the Padres start isn’t exactly a slouch. In Jake Peavy the Padres have one of the most fearless pitchers in baseball. He’s a huge man with an iron stare. Peavy, like Webb, is a solid all around sportsbook wager whenever he takes the mound. Peavy is 3 and 0 with a 2.00 ERA in five games so far this season. He has struck out 29 batters in 36 innings and has allowed only 8 runs. This is going to be an online baseball betting heavyweight fight!

To help us sort this out, I’ve created my own MLB betting lines.

Arizona Diamondbacks

Brandon Webb – R + 1 ½ - 155 + 135 O 7

San Diego Padres

Jake Peavy – R - 1 ½ + 115 - 125 U 7

Let’s just get to it and admit that there is no way to determine who has the upper-hand in this pitcher’s duel. Neither Webb nor Peavy will back down on Sunday. That means that the online gambling odds on either Peavy or Webb don’t make a difference.

First of all, the Padres may never, ever beat a team again this season by more then one run. So, the fact that Peavy will be favored on the betting line while giving up a run and a half is a moot point. The only way to bet the run-line is to throw an online wager onto Webb. But we might have to put up more then we’d like to.

So, I’m going to forget that and just say that if the BetUS over/under online wagering odds are anywhere close to 7 runs, I’m going under.

San Diego can’t score anyhow. What chance do they have against Brandon Webb? The D’Backs can put up some runs, but Peavy is deadly at Petco Park.

This thing should go under easily.
