MLB Baseball Betting - Kansas City Royals vs. Chicago White Sox
by Mike Rose
The White Sox were humbled tremendously by the Tampa Bay Rays this past weekend in baseball betting action, which ultimately led to a blow-up of epic proportions by Manager Ozzie Guillen. He threatened his hitters with wholesale changes following the third straight loss for the AL Central leaders. Chicago's lineup went 2-for-14 with runners in scoring position to cap a weekend in which it managed to plate just four runs. "It can be me. It can be (fifth-year hitting coach) Greg Walker. It can be the players. It could be anybody. I'm sick and tired to watch this thing for a year and a half. I'm not protecting anybody anymore. (Bleep) it. If they can't get it done, Kenny should find someone to get it done." Them be fighting words that should certainly have MLB bettors on the look-out for some drastically improved play starting in tonight’s online betting affair with their division rivals. Even after losing the four game sports betting series at Tampa Bay, the White Sox hold a half game lead over the Minnesota Twins for the top spot in the AL Central with a 30-26 overall mark. After losing 12 in a row, the Royals enter tonight’s MLB wagering contest winners of two in a row after winning their weekend series at home against the Cleveland Indians. May was simply dreadful for this young club who only managed to win four of their 14 overall road games costing MLB handicappers some significant coin. Overall, they’re 11-18 on the road with their last win away from Kauffman Stadium coming on May 18th. This will be their first meeting with the White Sox this season.
Zach Greinke just so happened to be the victor in the Royals last road win (@ Florida 9-3), and he’ll grab the ball in his 12th start of the young season. He comes into this start 5-2 on the year with a 2.88 ERA and 1.20 WHIP. Zach’s been the brightest story in the Royals rotation this year, and he shockingly sports a winning mark on the road at 3-2. His bullpen let him down terribly his last time out after throwing eight innings of three-run ball, but it didn’t hold up as the pen allowed five runs in the 9th with two outs to allow the Twins the opportunity to win it in extras. Greinke’s fared terribly against Chicago in his career going 2-6 with a 4.68 ERA and 1.22 WHIP.
Looking to outdo the Royals right-hander will be Chicago’s Gavin Floyd who won his career best fifth game in his last start on the road against the Cleveland Indians. Gavin’s been a nice surprise for the Southsiders as he currently stands 5-3 with a 3.22 ERA and 1.10 WHIP. He’s only allowed 44 hits and 27 runs (24 earned) with a K/BB ratio of 32/27 in a shade over 64 total innings of work. At home, he’s 2-1 with a miniscule 2.35 ERA and 0.82 WHIP, and thrown 17.1 innings combined in his last two home starts allowing a total of three earned runs. He’s made two appearances and one start against the Royals, holding an 0-1 record and 3.38 ERA.
Oddsmakers opened Chicago up short –115 home favorites in this evening’s baseball betting affair with the ‘total’ set at 8 over -110. BetUS.com offers all MLB betting odds be it side, total, or run-line, so be sure to login to your account and get your wagers down before the first pitch.
