Horse Betting Odds - Padding Your Bankroll

He will feature at least one Pick 3 or Pick 4 play from a major track along with coverage of major stakes races, longshots, and will keep you up to date on what is happening on the circuits he covers. Be Bullish got home as our top pick in yesterday’s featured race, returning $10.40 along with a $27.20 exacta and $135.00 trifecta.

The late Pick 3 ticket crashed in the first leg and we came up empty, with two of the three winners on our $24 ticket.

If we can get by the first leg today, I think we’ll have a good chance of taking down the wager today.

Analysis: #5 Littletown Bridge came up the inside with a good late rally to finish in the runner up spot after having to steady in traffic on the far turn, missing the top spot by 1 3/4 lengths. Effort was coming off a seven month layoff and the mare also caught a speed favoring racing strip. She can handle the stretch out for Mclaughlin barn that is 26% winners (with a +ROI) moving runners from sprint to route.

#2 Street Bird went gate to wire to beat Alw-1 optional claimers last out, taking full advantage of a inner surface that was favoring inside speed. Earned the top last out speed fig and in good hands with Tony D. Price may end up on the short side and she might normally be a bet against coming off a career top aided by a bias, but this does not look like a real tough spot.

#10 Double Colico drops back in for a tag here for Klesaris barn in a race filled with class droppers. Colt was a game second three back at Del park against $50K foes and then tried grass and caught a muddy surface last out. The colt was wide throughout last out over a surface that was playing to inside speed. Can bounce back here with a better effort and the 12/1 ML looks more than fair.

#3 Wild Union returns off a two month freshening and drops in for a $35K tag for Pletcher, who is hitting at a 35% clip at the meet. Prompted the early pace and faded to finish tenth last out at Churchill versus $50K company. Colt has done much of his best running on poly which makes him a wildcard in here. Barn is 26% winners with runners coming back off a 46-90 day break.

#4 Capote's Princess, #9 New York Dream, #10 Rinella Storm

#4 Capote's Princess exits a restricted $25K claimer and finds a better spot here tagged for $16K. Tracked the early pace and came up empty in the stretch last out after a decent third two back on grass. Does have a win on the inner, breaking her maiden over the surface here in her second career start.

#9 New York Dream made a good late rally to finish in the runner up spot last out against open $10K claimers at 32/1. Has a win and a second in four trips at the D/S and a pair of wins on the inner. Fits well here in restricted company.

These are price plays to watch today. A small win-place wager is in order or if your pockets are deep enough, use these runners in your trifecta and Pick 3 and Pick 4 wagers. One or two of these could be the difference between a regular day at the track and hitting the IRS window with a signer.
